This year in AP Art was very interesting. It was a lot of hard work and dedication, but in the end it truly did pay off. I did several projects at home and on my own time to be able to keep up with everything. It was a lot of work for me. I was extremely stressed out at all times, but now that it is over I am extremely grateful that I was given this opportunity. I enjoy making art, sharing my art, and watching other people present their art. It is one thing that I really love and I hope to continue even after high school. I hope that as I continue my art I will keep getting better and my compositions will improve. I'm excited for what my future will bring for me with art.
After high school I will be going to study Psychology at Appalachian State University, but I hope that I can continue to take art classes as I grow older. AP Art has really inspired me to continue with my art "career" and continue taking risks in my paintings. My style has really improved since the first day of Art 1, and I've really developed my own personal touch on my artwork. My style has evolved and multiple people have told me that they really enjoy my simple and almost child-like work. I agree with them, everyone has their own style, and you just have to run with it. Don't try to create a style that you want to have, make the best out of what you already have. I think that is one of the most important things to take away from in this art class, and in the art world in general.
I have to say thank you to Mrs. Rossi for being an incredible art teacher and friend. She is one of the greatest teachers you will ever meet and I'm so happy with how much she has taught me. I'm sad I have to grow up and move on without her by my side, but I know where to find her. Thank you for a great year! Go Class of 2016! :)
